Ingredients for making Green gram curry / Pachapayir curry:
Green gram 1/2 cup
Thuar shall 1/4 cup
Garlic 10 pods
Water 2.5 cups
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Red chilly 1 no
Green chilly 2 nos
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Oil 1 tbsp for pressure cooking shall
Oil 2 tbsp for seasoning
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves few
Small onion 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves chopped handful

Cooking instruction for Green gram curry / Pachapayir curry:

Soak dhall for 30 min.
In a pressure pan add garlic, cumin, green chilly, red chilly, turmeric, oil, dhall and water.
Pressure cook for 5 whistles in sim.
Meanwhile fry mustard onion curry leaves and salt in oil and keep it ready.
Once dhall is cooked, mash it well with whisk and add little water.
Let it boil, add fried onions and boil.
Then add coriander leaves and mix.
Switch off flame. Serve hot with rice and cabbage poriyal.
