Ingredients to make Cabbage poriyal (upperi):Salt as needed
Coconut oil 2 tsp
Mustard 1 tsp
Curry leaves few
Bengal gram 1 tsp
Black gram 1 tsp
Red chilly 3 nos
Cabbage shred 3 cups (1 cabbage)
Water 1/2 cup

Cooking instruction for making Cabbage poriyal (upperi):
Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan.
Fry mustard, curry leaves, bengal gram and black gram.
Once fried, add red chilli broken in two pieces and toss.
Add shredded cabbage salt and sprinkle water.
Mix well and cook in sim for 5-7 minutes.
Open and see if water is evaporated.
Once water is evaporated, give a toss.
Yummy cabbage poriyal upperi is ready.
Serve hot with rice and sambar.
