Beetroot Rice


Ingredients for making beetroot rice:
Beetroot 1 cup ( shredded)
Rice 1 cup cooked with 2.5 times water for 3 whistle
Oil 3 tbsp
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Bengal gram 1 tsp
Black gram 1 tsp
Peanuts 1/2 cup
Curry leaves few
Salt as required
Red chilly 4

Cooking instructions for making beetroot rice:
Heat oil in a wide kadai.
Fry mustard, bengal gram, black gram.
Add curry leaves and red chillies. Fry till crisp. Add peanuts.
Add shredded beetroot, salt.
Fry beetroot well in oil till cooked completely.
Add cooked rice and mix well.
Switch off flame. Serve hot with curd and papad.
