Ingredients for making Kappa kadala puzhukku / Tapioca Black Chickpeas stir fry:
Tapioca 500 g
1/2 cup black chick peas (unsoaked)
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Salt as required
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Onions 2 chopped
Red chilly 2
Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Curryleaves few
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Scrapped coconut 1/2 cup

Cooking instructions for making Kappa kadala puzhukku / Tapioca Black Chickpeas stir fry:
Soak black channa overnight.
Wash and add fresh water and pressure cook black channa with ginger garlic paste and salt for 5 whistles. Let pressure come off naturally.
Wash, peel, chop and wash tapioca 500g.
Add them to a pressure pan and add water till tapioca is dipped completely.
Add salt and turmeric and pressure cook for 1 or 2 whistle.
heat a heavy bottom pan with oil.
Fry thin sliced onions with mustard, curry leaves and red chillies.
Add very little salt and fry them well.
Add coriander powder, red chilly powder and garam masala. Mix them well.

Add cooked channa and tapioca and mix well to evenly coat masala.
Add scrapped coconut and mix. Put off flame.
Wonderful breakfast or snack for evening.
