Instant Vegetable Biriyani

Instant Vegetable Biriyani

I am very happy today in posting this because I feel like cooking has become instant. Some days back I had participated in a contest organised by "Kitchens of India" in association with "Indiblogger". Here is my entry. I also received a 400 INR gift coupon from Kitchens of India for participation. I ordered some goodies and received them in a day.

I was super excited and I wanted to try each of them and review it. You can buy them online in a jiffy here is the LINK. Coming to the Vegetable Biriyani Mix. It was so easy that I had to chop vegetables, mix and cook. The masala is a wet masala and the smell of the masala is so fresh.

I have just mixed masala with water, added the vegetables and soy, added rice curd and water. 3 whistles in a pressure cooker and I am done. I made it as one pot meal for my morning busy hours of getting ready to office. The pack guides us to cook biriyani in an authentic way. But I made it this way.

Ingredients:

Kitchens of India Vegetable Biriyani Mix - 1 packet
Rice- 2 cups
Water- 3 cups
Curd- 1 cup
Chopped Vegetables- 1 cup
Soy Chunks- 1 cup
Salt- as per taste
Ghee- 2 tbsp

Method:

Dilute masala mix with 1 cup of water.
Place it in a pressure cooker and heat it up.
Add chopped vegetables and soy chunks.
Add curd, water, salt (check and add), rice.
Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
When Pressure comes down open the lid and add 3 tbsp ghee.
Mix and serve hot with Raita.
